Water-based surface biocide for treatment of dry rot (Serpula lacrymans), moulds, algae, mosses and lichens to interior or exterior masonry surfaces.

Standard Product Features

Preparation:

– Dry rot:

• Reduce water penetration.
• Expose full extent of outbreak with additional margin of clearance.
• Remove all timber elements from affected area and dispose by burning. Where impractical to remove timbers, consult Wykamol Technical Department.

– Exterior lichen:

• Remove all organic material by cleaning methods appropriate to substrate. If resistant, may require abrasion using wire brush before treatment.

– Exterior moss:

• Remove all organic material by cleaning methods appropriate to substrate.

Application:

– General:

• Apply when surfaces are dry.
• Exclude unprotected persons and animals for at least 48 hours after application.

– Half brick walls or cavity walls:

• Treat by generous low pressure spray application to both faces.

– Single brick walls:

• Drill at 225 mm staggered centres, with holes to centre of wall, angled downwards 30–45º.
• Treat by injection together with surface application.

– Cavity walls:

• Treat by generous low pressure spray application to all faces, including cavity.

– Exterior surfaces:

• Remove all organic material by cleaning methods appropriate to substrate.
• Apply in windfree conditions to minimize spray drift.
• Allow 1–7 days before brushing or power hosing to remove organic material.
• Apply second coat Aqua-Tech Masonry Biocide.
• Regular reapplication may be necessary.
• Active life of treatment may be reduced on surfaces subject to mechanical wear, surfaces with low absorption, surfaces with dirt accumulation, persistently damp surfaces. NBS Specification
